Orlando Theme Parks Overview
Prices & schedules checked October 25, 2026
Most visitors come for the parks. This page is a high-level, independent orientation — not a ride-by-ride review and not a ticket-price table (those change by date). Buy tickets on the parks’ own sites or a reseller you trust; we do not invent Viator product codes for park tickets.
The three big destinations
| Destination | What it is (official framing) | Tickets |
|---|---|---|
| Walt Disney World Resort | Four theme parks (Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom) plus water parks and Disney Springs | Official ticket guide |
| Universal Orlando Resort | Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, Epic Universe, Volcano Bay water park and CityWalk | Official park tickets |
| SeaWorld Orlando | Marine-life theme park; sister parks Aquatica and Discovery Cove are sold separately | Official SeaWorld tickets |
How to think about a short trip
- One park day is not enough for “all of Disney.” Disney’s own ticket guide is organized around date-based tickets and multi-day options; check current park hours on the Disney calendar before you lock a plan.
- Universal now includes Epic Universe as a fourth gate alongside Studios, Islands of Adventure and Volcano Bay. Confirm park hours on Universal’s hours page (Volcano Bay has seasonal closures).
- SeaWorld is often a single full day for first-timers; ticket types (single-day, Fun Card, multi-visit) are listed on the official tickets page.
- Park-hopping and Express/Lightning-style add-ons are sold by each park under their own names and rules — read the official ticket pages, not a third-party summary.
Who each destination suits
- Disney World: multi-day trips, littler kids, and anyone chasing the classic “castle” vacation — budget time and money accordingly.
- Universal Orlando: thrill rides, Harry Potter fans, and shorter stays that still want a big-park hit (especially with Epic Universe in the mix).
- SeaWorld: a one-day wildlife + coaster park when you don’t want a four-park commitment.
- Skip multi-day park tickets if… you’re here for a conference, a beach add-on, or one free day — use our park-light day plan instead.
When the parks aren’t the whole trip
If you only have one free day outside multi-day park tickets — or you’re skipping parks entirely — start with our Kennedy Space Center day trip, airboats & Gatorland, or ICON Park. For November–January, see Holidays 2026–27.
