Crystal River manatee swim
The trip goes to Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge, about an hour north of Tampa. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service says its manatee season runs November 15 to March 31. That is when the refuge’s seven warm-water sanctuaries are in effect. If manatees are the reason you’re going, book inside that window. The refuge doesn’t run its own manatee tours; permitted operators do.

Manatee Swim and Wildlife Park from Orlando
- Length About 8.5 hours; hotel/meeting-point pickups roughly 6–6:45 a.m.
- Price Check current price on Viator. Swimmers also pay a mandatory $15 wetsuit rental at the dive shop on the day.
- Includes Driver/guide, round-trip transport from designated Orlando hotels or meeting points, mask, snorkel and fins, a Crystal River boat trip (about 90 minutes) and admission to Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park
- Not included Wetsuit fee, gratuities, breakfast. The airboat ride and picnic lunch come only with the “Swim, Park & Airboat” option

Practical tips
- Early starts. Pickups run from about 6 a.m. (manatees) to 8 a.m. Confirm your pickup point and time on your voucher the day before.
- Budget for extras. None of the four includes regular meals (the manatee trip’s picnic lunch comes only with the airboat option). Gratuities are extra on the manatee and St. Augustine trips.
- Manatee timing. The refuge visitor center is open 9 a.m.–4 p.m. daily during manatee season (Nov 15–Mar 31).
