Las Vegas First-Timer One-Day Itinerary

Prices & schedules checked October 27, 2026

One full day in Las Vegas is enough for the Strip corridor, one elevated view and a downtown evening — or one out-of-town day trip. This plan assumes you are not buying a multi-hour residency show ticket.

Viator and GetYourGuide prices change often, so we don’t quote them: the booking buttons open the live listing, where you’ll see today’s price, times and cancellation terms. Facts on this page come from the operators’ own sites and verified catalog titles.

In-town day (default)

  1. Morning — Strip walk or Deuce ride. Start mid-Strip (LINQ / Flamingo area) or south Strip and work a hotel-public-area loop. RTC Deuce is 24/7 if you prefer not to walk the full length.
  2. Late morning / lunch — High Roller or food tour. Ride the High Roller (~30 minutes) or swap to the Secret Food Tours walking tasting (about three hours — start earlier if you choose this).
  3. Afternoon — hop-on hop-off or Monorail hop. Big Bus if you want open-top commentary and the Welcome sign; Monorail if you mainly need east-Strip hotel-to-hotel moves.
  4. Evening — downtown Fremont. Ride the Deuce north to Fremont Street Experience for the canopy and neon. Return south whenever you’re done.
  5. Optional late add-on: the late-night open-top bus (listing departs ~10:15 p.m. from the LINQ loading zone).

Day-trip swap

Replace the in-town day with a Grand Canyon West / Hoover Dam coach or small-group tour. You will not also fit a full Strip evening plan the same day — pick one.

Where to sleep for this plan

Mid-Strip for High Roller / Big Bus convenience; downtown if Fremont is the priority. Details: where to stay.
