Coquina Compass

About Coquina Compass

Coquina Compass is an independent visitor guide to tours and experiences in St. Augustine, Florida — named for the shell-stone that built the city’s old Spanish fort.

What we do: compare the tours visitors actually book — trolleys, ghost tours, boat cruises and seasonal events like Nights of Lights — on price, length, departure point and who they suit, so you can choose quickly.

How we work: every guide is researched from operators’ official pages, the city and county visitor sites and public booking listings, and lists its sources and the date facts were last checked. Our guides are written with the help of AI tools and then fact-checked against those sources before publishing. We don’t publish invented reviews or pretend to have taken tours we haven’t.

Independence: we’re not affiliated with any tour operator, the City of St. Augustine, or the St. Augustine, Ponte Vedra & The Beaches Visitors and Convention Bureau. See our affiliate disclosure for how the site is funded.

Images: night-lights and cemetery scenes are our own illustrations. Photos: Castillo de San Marcos aerial — National Park Service (public domain); Bridge of Lions — Wikimedia Commons user A345321 (CC0); San Sebastian River boats — Wikimedia Commons user Mjrmtg (CC0).
